So, you want to know what the Holy Grails are from the 90’s when it comes to comic books? You’ve come to the right place. Below we break down the top 5 most valuable comics from that decade.

To qualify comics must be standard issue and mass produced (not one-of-a-kind) and have recent sales supporting the value.

#4 – New Mutants 98 (1991) – 1st appearance of deadpool ( in 9.8 signed and graded condition or above)

 

#3 – Batman Adventures 12 (1993) – 1st appearance of Harley Quinn ( in 9.8 or 9.6 signed and graded condition or above)

 

#2 – Venom Lethal Protector 1 (1993) – Black Error Cover ( in 9.2 or 9.0 signed graded condition or above)

As time goes on, more and more books from the 1990’s are getting a chance to shine with some starting to inch up towards the $1,000 benchmark.

Those listed above, other than Batman Adventures 12 and New Mutants 98 were extremely limited print runs. New Mutants 98 having the largest print run of the entire list, although ones graded near the top are nearly just as scarce.
