On April 22\, join us for the official kick off to Calgary Expo in style!  \nWant to walk in the parade? Grab your favourite costume and take your spot! Not interested in dressing up? No problem! Watch thousands of incredible cosplayers (and a few celebrity guests of the Expo!) along the parade route and from the Fan Zone.  \nThe parade begins at 10:30 AM at 8th Ave and 8th St\, and parades down Stephen Avenue\, concluding at Olympic Plaza for the Calgary Expo Opening Ceremony at approximately 11:30 AM. Parade of Wonders is a cosplay parade celebrating pop culture and creativity in Calgary’s downtown\, and the official kick off to the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo! Last year over 23\,000 people took in the event! Come watch to witness thousands of cosplayers in incredible fan costumes and say hello to a few of Calgary Expo’s special celebrity guests. It’s free to participate\, but there is a catch … to walk in the parade you MUST be decked out in cosplay. To walk in the parade\, be sure to register online (solo or as a group). \nExpo goers and downtown office workers alike get involved and join in on the fun and witness this unique event. \nThe parade departs at 10:30 am and parades from 8th St down Stephen Avenue (8th Avenue) to conclude at Olympic Plaza at 11:15 am.
