DESCRIPTION:This show was designed to be a small expo that allowed fans to meet their favorite comic creators in a more intimate setting. The very first two shows were in Jonesboro\, Arkansas and were great successes. Featured guests included Kenneth Rocafort (Top Cow\, DC\, Marvel) Tom Nguyen (Marvel\, DC\, Dark Horse\, IDW) Lorenzo Lizana (Lion Forge Comics) John Lucas (Marvel\, Darkhorse) Esteban Valdez (Echobridge Pictures) and Kelly Williams (Dark Horse). TMNT actor Ernie Reyes Jr was also a guest the first year. \nAfter 2 successful years in Jonesboro Arkansas\, they have moved the show to Northwest Arkansas in the Fayetteville/Bentonville area. \n\n\nFRIDAY EVENTS\n\n\n\n\nGRAND OPENING\nBe there when APCE has it’s first ever show in NWA. Industry top talent from Marvel\, DC\, IDW\, Dark Horse and more will be at the show Friday & Saturday to talk comics and sign autographs. Pick up prints\, original art or signed comics from your favorite creators. Vendors will be there with a great selection of collectibles\, rare comics and other pop culture items.\nNOTE: Vernon Wells photo ops are on this day.\n\n\n\n\n\nSATURDAY EVENTS\n\n\n\n\nHOW TO DRAW COMICS\nTom Nguyen walks you through the basics of how to draw comics. He should know\, he’s been working as a pro since the age of 19. This event starts at 12 PM.\nFREE\n\n\n\nFACE OFF Q&A\nThis is your chance to meet and ask Keaghlan Ashley what it’s like working as a makeup artist and being on the hit SyFy show – FACE OFF. This event starts at 1 PM.\nFREE\n\n\n\nCREATING INDIE COMICS Q&A\nMeet Daniel Woolley and ask all your questions regarding breaking into indie comics and what all is involved in getting your comic book into comic shops. This event starts at 2 PM\nFREE\n\n\n\nSPECIAL EFFECTS MAKE UP WORKSHOP WITH KEAGHLAN ASHLEY\nIn this workshop Keaghlan will do a live demo showing her various techniques for creating show-stopping makeup. Take your movie or cosplay makeup to the next level! This event starts at 4 PM.\n$40 NOTE: Must buy THIS ticket online. Great Lakes Garrison is a subdivision of the 501st Legion\, the premier Imperial Star Wars costuming group in the world. GLG operates in the state of Michigan and was originally a part of the Midwest Garrison as “Michigan Squad\,” and then separated into a full-fledged Garrison in December of 2007. Since then\, the GLG has contributed significantly to the greater 501st and Star Wars communities. \nWe are excited to have them spotlighted at our event this year! Come out to the IMC3 Saturday June 3rd as the Great Lakes Garrison swarms the downtown businesses of Marine City! \n\n\n\nKIM TURNER ~ ARTIST\n\nThe International Marine City Comic Con is proud to announce that we have secured local artist Kim Turner to do face painting during this years Con. She is a wife\, a mother and an artist and she loves all three. She has a multitude of interests but has always enjoyed art. Kim has painted for various businesses in Marine City such as Willie Wonka for the Sweet Tooth and a complete mural at The Blue Pike. Meet Kim and get your face painted. She will be the featured attraction at the Sweet Tooth! \n\n\n\nBATMAN\n\nThe International Marine City Comic Con is proud to announce that Batman will be appearing here for year two! Batman is one of the most popular superheroes in history. He is also called the Caped Crusader and the Dark Knight. His superhero partners over the years include sidekick Robin\, Batgirl\, police commissioner Jim Gordon\, and Alfred his assistant and butler. \nBatman doesn’t have any superhuman powers\, but relies on high tech gear\, martial arts\, and high intelligence. His special gear for fighting crime is often stored in his utility belt. Items Batman can quickly retrieve from his utility belt include a grapple gun for climbing\, night vision goggles\, bat darts\, and batarangs (similar to a boomerang but shaped like a bat). \nCome meet Batman at Roasted with Perks as he will be the featured superhero for the scheduled photo shoots! \n\n\n\nGHOSTBUSTERS\n\nThe International Marine City Comic Con have secured the Great Lakes Ghostbusters for our event in June! \nThe Great Lakes Ghostbuster Coalition is a group of devoted Ghostbuster Movie Franchise fans based throughout the State of Michigan. \nThe Coalition dress in full costume\, complete with proton packs and many other prop devices. Stephanie is 26 years old and a wife and mother to two amazing little boys. Their names are Cody (4 years old) and Cameron (2 years old). She is what is known as a Fibre Artist. Specifically she crochets and makes everything from dolls to blankets. \nHer passion started bubbling when she was pregnant with her youngest son. The last few months of her pregnancy\, she had complications so was placed on bed rest. Anxious to find a way to pass the time she took up crocheting. She picked it up really quickly and decided it is what she wanted to do full time (other than being a mommy and wife). Stephanie donates a portion of her sales to Make A Wish Foundation as she herself was a Wish child and knows what a difference they make first hand.So visit IMC3 on Saturday June 3rd and meet Stephanie under the big top in Drake Park! \n\n\n\nDAN TRUDEAU ~ AUTHOR\n\nThe International Marine City Comic Con is very proud to add local author Dan Trudeau to our vendor list! Dan Trudeau was born and raised in the great metropolis of Marine City\, Michigan. Dan studied writing and TV/film production at Western Michigan University\, where he co-created\, co-wrote\, and co-starred in The Flying Turtle Show\, a sketch and improv comedy review.  Since then\, he’s written for video productions\, small press comics\, and has published a collection of his early comedy scripts\, Hold On To the Good Stuff. DESCRIPTION:This is a Free\, family friendly ComiCon in it’s third year.  The library hosts professional groups like the Capital City Jedi Knights\, the Star Wars 501st Garrison Carida\, the Mandalorian Mercs and the Central Pennsylvania Avengers.  There is a Marketplace with artists and various collectibles.  A photo booth is set up for photo ops.  There is a Cosplay contest at the end of the day with each category winning $25 gift certificates.   Super Smash Bros. Tournament (Wiiu) is broken up into Adult and 12 and under.  Amiibos are the prizes for these categories.  This year\, we will have a nerdy Trivia game going on and a raffle for a chance to win some really cool prize packages.
