The fan run Fayetteville Comic Con is a welcoming and family friendly place that celebrates all forms and fans of American and World Popular Culture. If you like comics, cosplay, gaming, collectible toys, anime, cool tv or movies, Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, The Walking Dead and/or Horror, you’ll fit right in!
On one very special weekend — Saturday, October 20 & Sunday, October 21, 2018 — we will cram in as much fun and activities as we can . . . . we have tried many new things, some never seen before at cons, have learned from our triumphs and mistakes and promise this year’s con will be the best ever!
The con will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Crown Center Exhibition Center. We advise coming early and also buying tickets in advance to avoid lines the day of the show and a possible sellout. Plus you’ll get a discount for buying early! However, we assure you that every box office at the Crown Center will be open the day of the show to minimize lines.
Active military will get a discount on advance ticket purchases and children 10 & under are admitted free to the Fayetteville Comic Con if accompanied by a paying adult.
Our con will feature special guests from the world of comics and popular culture; MtG, Heroclix, Yu-Go-Oh and video game tournaments; panels; portfolio reviews; trivia contests; martial arts and swordplay demonstrations; door prizes; photo ops; free comics or packs of non-sports cards to everybody (while supplies last); and TWO BIG COSPLAY CONTESTS — A JUNIOR DIVISION AND SENIOR DIVISION, with prizes galore, including one for best Active Military entrant.
Did we forget to mention SCIFI Speed Dating, Nerd Slams and aerialists?
DJ Clash from Winston Salem will be spinning tunes and keeping things moving along. He was a big hit last year — where else than the FCC will you see a dozen Deadpools or Harley Quinns dancing in sync?
Guests: Tony Todd, Butch Patrick, Tom Savini, Warrington Gillette, Toochukwu Anyachonkeya, Dameon Clarke, Veronica Taylor, Mark Dodson, Jason Douglas, Coleen Clinkenbeard, Andy Field, Michael Copon, Kerrigan Mahan, Aftershock Comics, Russ Braun, Steve Orlando, Bob Wiacek, Arthur (King of the Zombies) Suydam, Andy Smith, Brian Shearer, Kirk Lindo, Richard Case, Paris Cullins, Steve Geiger, Louis Small Jr., Renee Witterstaetter, Dan Johnson, Rodney Bennett, Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Budd Root, Jason Douglas, Gregory French, Michael Koske, Rocky Melvin, Charles Conley

One of the best cons we have been to, with a lot of stuff to do -- everybody in the family enjoyed the toys, the cosplay and especially the festive atmosphere -- music, dancing, acrobats -- more to do than most cons!
I arrived in line at 8:40 am so I could be one of the first people in after V.I.P. I was an advanced ticket holder and the sixth person in line. Staff asked myself and others to change lines several times, which made people run to the other line and made me about the sixtieth person. Also, non-advanced ticket holders were allowed in the building to purchase tickets. So, they were allowed in line before advanced ticket holders inside the building. I arrived early for a reason only to see last minute arrivals ahead of me, unfortunately. This lead to horrible coordination and many angry early birds.
