MCM Comic Con events are the UK and Ireland’s and most exciting pop culture shows, and the only UK based shows that bring together such a broad scope of popular culture categories including; Movies, Gaming, Comics, Anime, Television, Gadgets, Clothing and Toys.
We aim to put on the best consumer shows for the modern pop-culture market. Our show floors are packed full of activity from live eSports matches and cosplay celebrations to experiential opportunities inspired by the movies and brand new releases of your favourite games to play.
On top of all that we have the awesome Comic Village area for independent comic artists, VidFest for upcoming YouTube stars, PopAsia to revel in all things Asian inspired and Memorabilia, our collector haven. Our theatres also play host to exclusive screenings and panels of special guests, all whom take part in photograph sessions and signings throughout the weekend.
MCM Comic Con is THE destination event to celebrate all things pop-culture, it is not to be missed by any geek, nerd, cosplayer, or fan boy and girl!
Cosplay is welcome in all parts of the show however it is necessary to set some restrictions as it is a family friendly event. Note in particular that metal blades (sharp or blunt), working projectile weapons, and wooden or metal bats & paddles are all forbidden.
The UK Championships of Cosplay is a craftsmanship based cosplay contest consisting of four qualifiers and a final, each with a pre-judging session and a stage display where entrants will pose and display their costumes. The winner of the UK Championship of Cosplay will be flown to Chicago to compete in the Global Championship of Cosplay final. All entries must represent a character or element from the pop culture realm.
The return of MCM London Comic Con in May 2019 also means the return of the Cosplay Masquerades! Saturday hosts a smaller ‘mini-Masquerade’ on the PopAsia Stage around lunchtime to make way for the EuroCosplay Championships Final at the end of the day. Rounding out the weekend on Sunday will be a full size affair with not one but two chances at international representation on the line!
